Two Months Later…

Sorry to fall off the blogging bandwagon! I had no idea it had been so long since my last post. A few updates:

  • survived a challenging but interesting Operations Management class (more posts on this to come)
  • had our final one-week intensive course which was Fundamentals of Strategic Management (more posts on this to come)
  • starting electives this week which means our cohort class is split up until we have our Integrative Thinking Practicum in the summer. It’s a bit sad that we won’t have the same classmates anymore but it’s always nice to see a familiar face in one of your elective classes and of course a good opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. (Just a note that us Morning MBA-ers have all of our core courses/curriculum together as a cohort for the first 1.5 years of the program. This includes three one-week intensive sessions throughout. After the core courses are completed, we can select elective courses and take them whenever they are offered. This could be in the morning/daytime/evening as your work schedule permits.)

We also held a great end-of-term party as an informal good-bye to the end of our core courses as well as a send off to our two classmates who have gone off to Spain & France for their international exchange program!

At the party we collected toys to donate to the Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain and cash for the Daily Bread Food Bank. We raised $225 and got to donate these toys:

Lots more to come but I need to prep for my Corporate Strategy elective tomorrow morning. Happy new year!
